Disabled War Veteran's World Record Attempt On TGA Mobility Scooter

Andy McIntosh, 42 from Strathaven near Glasgow, is a disabled Army Corporal who is currently attempting, on a TGA Breeze mobility scooter,  to beat the world record for the ‘Fastest journey from John-O’-Groats to Land’s End on an Electric Mobility Vehicle (individual)’.   Originally from Manchester, Andy retired from the Army fully fit to pursue a new career, however in 2008 he discovered he had a very rare and inoperable vascular condition. This means his circulation and mobility is severely restricted, resulting in day-to-day difficulties with independence. Hence Andy and his young family have been supported by several military charity – this world record attempt is raising donations to say thank you for their invaluable assistance. Instant Success for Launch of TGA's New Maximo Folding Mobility Scooter

TGA had a successful launch of their new folding car boot mobility scooter,  the Maximo , at the recent Naidex National by receiving their first order within 10 minutes of the show opening. Mobility Scooter Safety Day a Huge Success

TGA Mobility  located in Sudbury, Suffolk, has hosted a well-attended 'Safe Scoot' Awareness Day for East Anglian mobility scooter users. The day is held for people to discover how they can  drive a mobility scooter safely. Held at TGA's independent living showroom , the event attracted a large number of visitors from the local area. Attendees were a mixture of current scooter owner looking for advice on safe driving along with individuals looking to try a scooter for the first time in a safe environment. Essential driving tips for scooter users were provided around a pre-determined course that included ramps, cones and areas to practise reversing. Learning how to manouvre safely in tight spaces and control a scooter when moving in reverse, were deemed very useful by most people who completed the course.
