Experience Abacus Healthcare Assistive Baths at Kidz-in-the-Middle, 19 March, Ricoh Arena, Coventry

On Thursday 19 March, Abacus will be demonstrating a number of bath models from our Aquanova bath range including the popular Gemini, at Kidz-in-the-Middle at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry (Stand E17).

This unique bathing solution includes an integrated, height adjustable platform suitable for bathing, drying and changing children in a safe and comfortable manner. It's variable height operation also ensures carers or parents can bathe children at a safe working height, without the need to bend or lift - reducing the risk of back injury and enhancing the overall bathing experience for all.

 Abacus Healthcare has been a long-standing supporter of the Kidz events and their assessors enjoy the chance to discuss individual bathing requirements face-to-face with families and carers. Plus, with the ability to try out their baths and accessories hands-on, visitors to Kidz-in-the-Middle can discover how their baths can make a real difference to the well-being and happiness of disabled children.

Linda with Osteoarthritis wins TGA Eclipse mobility scooter worth £1700

Linda Locke, 64 and retired carer from Leiston in Suffolk, has won a new  Eclipse ‘car boot’ mobility scooter  courtesy of  TGA Mobility  in Sudbury – giving her independence to bird-watch once more. For many years, Linda and her husband David have been regular visitors to the  RSPB  Minsmere nature reserve on the east coast of Suffolk. This  AONB  is home to a huge variety of wildlife including otters, adders, lizards and wetland-feeding birds such as Avocets.
