6mph Maximo Plus mobility scooter will be launched alongside four other new TGA products at Naidex 2017

The latest evolution in pioneering folding mobility scooters from TGA, the new faster 6mph Maximo Plus, will be launched alongside four other new TGA products at Naidex 2017 (Stand A59 and Test Track, 28-30 March 2017).
The 4mph Maximo was launched to great acclaim at Naidex 2015 where it provided the first ever mid-sized scooter that combined a more spacious and enhanced driving experience with remarkable levels of transportability and manoeuvrability. Incorporating the same considered engineering and design of its smaller sister model, the Minimo, the Maximo can be folded in seconds with one hand and requires no parts to be dismantled for storage. Despite its larger size the Maximo is still lightweight and compact enough when folded for hassle-free transportation in the boot of a typical estate car or 4x4. When in use it delivers a smoother ride with greater stability through larger wheels, pneumatic tyres, advanced suspension and a wider chassis – ideal for owners with back issues or postural difficulties. The new Maximo Plus offers all the features of the popular Maximo along with Class 3 status ie. it is compliant for road use with a higher top speed of 6mph, powerful headlights, indicators and a horn.

The 6mph Maximo Plus gives owners enhanced performance and a higher speed for reduced journey times. Personalised comfort is assured through a design that can be adjusted to suit a range of rider heights and weights. The fully adjustable and ergonomic control tiller and armrests, along with the supportive orthopaedic seat, ensure every driver can position their neck, shoulders and arms in a totally relaxed manner. This helps to improve posture and steering control when travelling and maximises safety and enjoyment. Access on and off the Maximo Plus is straightforward as the armrests can be re-positioned for strain-free sideways transfers. This scooter has an impressive user weight capacity of up to 21 stone (133kg), a 12.5-mile (20km) range and an ultra-lightweight, fast-charging lithium battery only weighing 7lbs (3.3kg). Its integrated LED lights ensure independence at night is safer through clearer vision for owners when driving and greater visibility to other road users.

Alf Jackson, 83 from Warrington, Cheshire, is a real 'character' and retired Fire fighter who despite living with severe Arthritis, has regained his freedom thanks to a 'fire engine' TGA Breeze mobility scooter that was partly funded by  The Fire Fighters Charity. Alf has lived in the same area all his life and was originally born in Warrington. He now lives with his wife Pat and two rescue dogs Lady and Sammy who are walked by local helpers, as Alf requires the use of crutches to move around.
