Theraposture's new OT to deliver educational assistive bed and cot sessions at The OT Show

Shaun Masters, OT and Trusted Assessor, will be delivering a series of engaging assistive bed-based educational presentations on the Theraposture stand at the OT Show (B48, NEC, 21 and 22 Nov).

15-MINUTE LIVE SEMINARS WILL BE HELD THROUGHOUT THE TWO DAYS INCLUDING THE NEW ROTOFLEX 235 PLUS BED AND MASCOT MK2 COT – ALL PROFESSIONALS AND PRESS WELCOME.

 Shaun has extensive experience within community-based re-enablement in the public sector. He will be sharing his experience and knowledge in a series of presentations so that OT’s can gain invaluable advice and insight into assistive bed solutions for Adults and Paediatrics. The Rotoflex Turning Bed System and Mascot Care Cot will be demonstrated – highlighting how these unique products can lead to better client independence and well-being along with substantial care and equipment cost savings.

The seminar schedule on the Theraposture stand will be:
Legs into bed – Enabling independent transfers for those unable to safely get into
or out of bed.
This outline presentation will highlight the key considerations regarding a safe transfer into, out of and away from a Turning Bed System – featuring the new Rotoflex 235 Plus rotating bed. Hosted by Shaun Masters, OT.
21st and 22nd November, 10:00-10:15, 12:00-12:15 and 15:00-15:15.

 Modular Cot Bed - Future proofing specialist beds for children.
This outline presentation will focus on:
  • considerations when prescribing a sleeping solution to meet changing client needs
  • features that enable easy cot reissuing and recycling

Linda with Osteoarthritis wins TGA Eclipse mobility scooter worth £1700

Linda Locke, 64 and retired carer from Leiston in Suffolk, has won a new  Eclipse ‘car boot’ mobility scooter  courtesy of  TGA Mobility  in Sudbury – giving her independence to bird-watch once more. For many years, Linda and her husband David have been regular visitors to the  RSPB  Minsmere nature reserve on the east coast of Suffolk. This  AONB  is home to a huge variety of wildlife including otters, adders, lizards and wetland-feeding birds such as Avocets.
